Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP)

SAIOP stands for "Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program". It is a structured treatment program designed for individuals with substance use disorders who need more support than standard outpatient care but do not require residential or inpatient services.

At Creative Directions the SAIOP program is run as per the guidelines of the North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities & Substance Use Services.

Type: In-person sessions
Days: 3 days per week (Mon, Thurs Friday)
Time: 10am-1pm

Alternatively Call 336-395-3037

The program involves group and individual counseling, family therapy, educational sessions, recovery-focused activities, and care coordination. The program is led by expert licensed professionals of the field and aims to support adults (and sometimes adolescents) in maintaining their daily work or family responsibilities while receiving intensive, evidence-based substance abuse treatment in an outpatient setting.

The aim of SAIOP is to help participants achieve and sustain recovery, develop coping and life skills, and receive personalized care for both substances use and co-occurring mental health conditions, all while remaining integrated in their communities.

The program at Creative Directions stands out for its wholistic approach by additionally having wellness & meditation sessions, nutritional assessments, Vitals check ins, lab work and entertainment which involves games and guided outdoor trips.
