Peer Support

The Creative Directions Peer Support Program is a structured service where individuals with lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges provide emotional, social, and practical support to others facing similar issues. It is grounded in mutuality and shared experience, focusing on empowerment, hope, and recovery rather than clinical treatment.
Key elements include:
- Peer-led support groups
- One-on-one mentoring
- Advocacy
- Education
- Connecting people to resources
Our Peer support are run by trained professionals and emphasizes respect, shared responsibility, and person-centered approaches, helping participants build coping skills, reduce isolation, and enhance wellness and quality of life.
This approach creates a safe, understanding environment where individuals feel less alone and more hopeful about their recovery journey. Our Peer support has demonstrated benefits such as improved mental well-being, reduced hospitalizations, larger social support networks, and increased self-esteem.
